Second U.S. air defense zone intrusion in two weeks
Two Russian strategic nuclear bombers entered the U.S. air defense zone near the Pacific coast on Wednesday and were met by U.S. interceptor jets, defense officials reported.
It was the second time in the past two weeks that Moscow dispatched nuclear-capable bombers into the 200-mile zone surrounding U.S. territory.
An earlier intrusion by two Tu-95 Bear H bombers took place near Alaska as part of arctic war games that a Russian military spokesman said included simulated attacks on “enemy” air defenses and strategic facilities.
A defense official said the Pacific coast intrusion came close to the U.S. coast but did not enter the 12-mile area that the U.S. military considers sovereign airspace.

The bomber flights near the Pacific and earlier flights near Alaska appear to be signs Moscow is practicing the targeting of its long-range air-launched cruise missiles on two strategic missile defense sites, one at Fort Greely, Alaska and a second site at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif.
The U.S. defense official called the latest Bear H incident near the U.S. West Coast “Putin’s Fourth of July Bear greeting to Obama.”

Allegations of “political dysfunction” overlook the fast that, they are very comfortable with the escalation of force. It*s not getting better, it*s getting worse. It*s really depres- sing.. A distorted position and to abstain from force. It requires dialogue and comp- romice and real politics. Toward thatend we welcome the friendship of all democratic governments. Such is life!

Yes because such an an action wouldn’t lead to anything more deleterious. Reality is that the US interceptors weren’t even armed with more than a camera. Every single day US aircraft are pushing right up to the airspace of Russia, China, North Korea and every other potential threat yet when someone does it to the US the droolers puff themselves up and start the chest thumping. Thankfully those with their fingers on the trigger are more rational than those they are protecting.
IF this is true, I would suspect, this is Putin’s way of countering what Russia perceives as possible threats to their interests in the Mid-East and elsewhere. Unfortunately, the U.S.lost it’s moral high ground and standing in the world when it found torture and democracy could walk hand in hand.
The Pentagon loves nothing more than to keep people nervous about Russia,China,terrorists,etc…this way they can continue to bilk american taxpayers, supported by the worthless corrupt politicians on Capital Hill, out of hundreds of billions of dollars on the war machine and useless weapon systems to name a few. In the meantime the infra-structure in most US cities is reaching critical mass. Sewers,bridges,roads and highways,public buildings all built 50 to 60 years ago or more are rapidly deteriorating and very little is being done. But hey, we have a nice new Tank that can go 50 mph.
So you think that all the “war machine” does is line corrupt pockets. It does absolutely nothing for the hundreds of thousands of people related companies employ or does nothings for the infrastructure with the billions of dollars of taxes paid by those same companies and their employees. If it wasn’t for that “war machine” you call it, the US would be speaking German or Chinese or something else and your right to voice your idiotic opinion would be taken away. Maybe you should stop and think about the consequences of actions before you start talking out your backside.

They say history repeats it self, if this is true then we need to prepare for another “Cold War” stand off and another Cuban missile crises….. most of you were to young to remember that…… but it was serious stuff with Russa an China, The Communist Chinese and the Russians have never been our friends…… that is a lesson we should have learned 50 years ago, and that lesson is, you can not make a friend or a pet out of a SNAKE…. it will bite you sooner or later!
