A search warrant says a man accused of running down his young son and the boy’s mother confronted her about a new relationship just before striking them with his SUV in Fitchburg.
Police said the domestic-related incident between Castillo-Dimas, 30, and the 20-year-old Fitchburg woman unfolded Monday afternoon in the 2100 block of Red Arrow Trail in the Allied Drive neighborhood.
The boy was still pinned underneath one of the vehicle’s wheels when police arrived on the scene Monday. Two-year-old Yandel Castillo-Castillo was killed. His mother, Maria del Rosario Castillo-Castillo, was injured.
Officials said preliminary results from a forensic autopsy indicate that the child’s death was the result of major blunt force trauma caused by a motor vehicle.
Child’s mother rammed then non lethally stabbed
The mother and child were returning home from lunch with Miguel Menendez-Ruvalcaba when they were confronted by the child’s father.
The warrant says the father told the child’s mother “you’ll see what’s going to happen to you and your child,” then accelerated and struck them.
The State Journal says the father then got a knife from his SUV and stabbed the mother. She survived puncture wounds to her neck.

The municipality of Mazatlan is approximately the same size as the entire state of Rhode Island. Crimes reported in “Mazatlan” could easily have happened hundreds of miles away in the mountains somewhere. The crime rate in the actual city of Mazatlan is lower than almost any US city!

It doesn’t matter nationality, that’s so darn irrelevant. What is totally and utterly abhorrent is the fact a parent be it the mother or the father feel they have the right to take the lives of their own children. Children don’t come with ownership papers, they are a privilege and this crime of taking children’s lives is becoming more and more sickenly common.
I am in the UK and only last week the bodies of three children were found with stab wounds, there father was found close by after throwing himself off a cliff. What gave him or any parent that does this the right to kill their own children just because they are angry at the other parent? Imagine the horror on that little boys face as he saw his daddy drive at him? Imagine the horror of the three children in England as they watched him stab each other. This is a global epidemic and it’s scary as he’ll.

@ Crazy Horse- AKA racist white lady…some would argue that racism is endemic in white society, I would argue that it is endemic in ALL of society. In fact we are hard-wired to favor our upbringings, some albeit more race hateful than others. Much like we as a human race have evolved not to sit curled up in a dark corner playing with our navels, we need to fight against a predisposition to judge others based on the personal bias of our own cultural experiences and RACIST projections. If you want to know why I referred to you as white, it is because you pretty much spelled it out for anyway. I’m from Canada and I’ve always been rather envious of one particular aspect of American life because I’ve always perceived that America, for the past many years anyway, has gotten over or ‘outgrown’ racial bias. (Since that whole ‘slavery’ thing was resolved.) In Canada, we’re still suffering ‘growing pains’ and dealing with the ‘French/English’ thing. Anyway, after reading the above threads, I can see that racism and prejudice is still alive and well on your side of the border, too. By the way, “John Smith”, the proper name is ‘Ku Klux Clan’ and no, I’m not racist or prejudiced. I’m a Dutch/Canadian raised in British Columbia and my husband is a British/German Canadian raised in Quesbec. We are typical mixed race Canadians. In order to be original Canadians or have our roots go back to the ‘first Canadians’, we would have to be either 1st Nations or Inuit. In your case, in order to be original Americans or have your roots go back to the ‘first Americans’, you would have to be 1st Nations as well. However, that’s another problem since what both our countries did to our 1st Nations people is a shame and a problem that we both are still dealing with.
Hey lady when I was a kid my friends were killed by their macho white daddy all four of them one by one . They were shot and stabbed and drown . All because the mother didn’t want him any more . Three years later five blocks away a black male killed every one including the wife . Or how bout the black male that inpregnated a hispanic woman and was married to a white woman . I find it sad that there are people capable of doing something like this. Children are a miracle, and a failed relationship does not mean the child should no longer exist. How anybody could deliberately kill their own child, just boggles my mind. Perhaps I see things differently to other people, because their race didn’t come into it for me, all I was reading was that a child was murdered by his own father. And that makes me very sad.

The fact of the matter is that every race, society, nation and political party has it’s bad eggs and ‘mad’ eggs. As you mentioned, we had Ceri Fuller, whom even his father-in-law says was a good and loving father… who killed his 3 kids. Then there’s Wayne Acott, jailed for five years for shaking his four-month-old son to death. Both white. These are tragedies, whichever race is involved, and it’s sad to see this tragedy used as an opportunity to offload bile.

I know what you are saying. I was born in Mexico but raised in America since a baby. I am an American and believe this is a great country. I live in Australia, not many people of hispanic origin here, however still too many inadequate men of many and varied cultures who kill their children in an act of immature, spiteful revenge. In Melbourne alone there are many recent cases. An Australian man threw his 4 year old daughter off a very big bridge after his wife ended their relationship, he did this in front of his 2 other children (school aged boys). Another man ran his car carrying his 3 young boys into a dam, he escaped but his children perished, he did this after his wife ended their relationship. Another man stabbed his toddler daughter to death, after taunting his ex partner via text messages and facebook status updates that he was about to kill his own flesh and blood. These men are now all in jail for their crimes. These and other men like them are pathetic, killing their own children to make their wife/partner suffer for ending a relationship.
I do not care what the persons nationality is, this is a heart wrenching thing to happen, to anyone. The death of a young child, because his mother happens to choose to date someone else, is a crime, and everyone should be up in arms about it. Domestic violence is not a thing of the past, it is a present day tragedy, and far too many children are being used as a pawn between mothers and fathers, who just cannot accept the fact that the relationship is over. Stop using children in this foolish way, stop telling your children they are not important enough for you to protect them. Your children are now and have always been a gift from Almighty God, if you can’t appreciate them, for goodness sake give them to one of the hundreds of thousands of people who would do just about anything to have a child. The issue is, for whatever reason, that a man made a decision that affected many. The child, by default is collateral damage. The child at that age had nothing to do with the reason the man ran them down. If we held ourselves to a higher standard then events like this would be less of an occurrence. None of us know all the facts; however, if the report is accurate the woman initiated a series of events that lead to the death of the child. If it is not then she should have left him a long time ago as she would have seen his character long before this. People do horrible things. It doesn’t matter what color your skin is or what social class you are from. Everyone is one thought away from doing something bad. This is a tragedy; however, someone saw this coming and did nothing about it. Thousands of people hang from a bridge? Are you insane? I`m mexican. I live in Mexico and so far i have never witnessed thousands of people hanging from bridges. Thank God or I will probably be on the edge of a nervous breakdown. Mexico ia a peaceful country, full of polite, caring neighbors and people who greet you on the streets, it`s not all bad. We have problems like society, we are an emerging economy and the number one country in Latin america, we have a very strong economy, we are not suffering a recession, we have gold and oil reserves for many years to come. Our demographics are very promising since the majority of the population is comprised of young people. We do not kill our offspring . This is a very unfortunate event , by no means whatsoever defines a whole culture. I understand you are afraid, of what you see in the news and hear but you must keep an open mind and see the whole picture. And yes in some small towns thieves and rapists get punished by the people, believe me they don`t do it again! Some towns are so small they don`t have a police force, people need to defend themselves and set an example. We can not live in anarchy. We are not animals , we are human beings and soon we will be a majority in the United States. Don`t be afraid, educate yourself and learn about other cultures you might be surprised to find out just how similar we are.
